On 1st March a validation of quarter 2 progress report of activities done by Yalla Yalla Group under a contract agreement with RAB in irrigation schemes located in seven districts (Nyanza, Gisagara, Huye, Nyaruguru, Nyamasheke, Nyamagabe, Rusizi) during three months was held in ndera sector at RAB station in mulindi.

Dr. Olivier NDAYITEGEYE, The contract manager, introduced the workshop, and subsequently, the Deputy Director General (DDG) in Charge of Agriculture Development officially inaugurated the session. The DDG emphasized on urging farmers to work hard for maximum valorization of irrigation schemes by increasing production and productivity. Farmers ought to be self-reliance rather than solely depending on RAB and MINAGRI. However, RAB and MINAGRI will continue enhancing farmers’ capacity through various initiatives, DDG said. In her welcome remarks, she extended a warm welcome to all participants.
